Flamenco Guitar Workshops

3 day intensive flamenco guitar workshop with profesional flamenco guitarist from Sevilla. Philip Adie works as a flamenco guitarist in Sevilla as a soloist, accompanist, teacher and with his instrumental trio.

Beginners/intermediate.

BULERÍAS/TANGOS

Technique and fundamental flamenco guitar music formulae will be covered in this course. This month we’ll be studying Bulerías and Tangos, the two liveliest flamenco styles.

To follow this course one must have basic knowledge of guitar , basic chords, some skills at understanding musical concepts etc. It is not for complete beginner guitarists.

BULERIA/FANDANGOS

Course aimed at returning students and players with experience with flamenco. We’ll look into some of the rhythmic styles of flamenco. This month Bulerías / Fandangos. We’ll study concepts and techniques for producing a focused and smooth interpretation of these spectacular rhythms. We’ll study some modern style falsetas and techniques in this workshop.

To follow this course one requires a fundamental understanding of the flamenco compás.
