What is the Flamenco guitar for Philip Adie?

Flamenco is one of the most amazing music styles to play on guitar. When I first started playing flamenco guitar It felt like a new world was opening in front of my eyes and ears!

Flamenco guitar is not only an instrument but a way to understand the culture and expression of southern Spain and at the same time a journey into your own feelings. The most important thing is to express yourself, discover new possiblities and of course to enjoy yourself.

Philip is giving classes at EstudioFlamenco in Sevilla and regularly gives workshops for all levels in The Netherlands at The Flamenco Underground Studios Den Haag. Check the news posts for info about current workshops.

Philip is now available for Skype lessons between 10:00 am and 13:00hr weekdays Monday to Friday.

Classes will be one on one.

Attention will be given to the proper technique for playing flamenco as taught by Paco Peña, Philip’s teacher for six years.

Lessons will also focus on the techniques used in accompanying flamenco dance, Philip has vast experience accompanying dance.

At each lesson at least one falseta will be taught to the student and that falseta sent to the pupil in musical notation or TAB, as a PDF file.

The lessons can be in English, Spanish or basic Dutch. 20eur per hour.

If you can’t afford it but are really interested and have access to the internet and a webcam, it’s also possible for free.
